The Secret Wall Street CalendarSubmitted by Financial Planning Solutions, LLC on May 9th, 2019
Last week I was looking for an old email and came across one that jumped out at me by the subject line. It read, "Warning: Stocks Will Collapse by 50%".
This was sent to me by a client back in 2014. She had come across this article and was concerned. With that title, who wouldn't be?
The premise of the "article" (and I use that term loosely as this was NOT a Wall Street Journal piece written by a qualified expert) was that the US stock market would be crashing "any day".
What's great about these articles and predictions is that at some point, they could come true. By saying "any day" it leaves it pretty open to point back to when something was written and say, "See. I was right!
When you get deeper into this article it points you to a page to reveal the "Secret Wall Street Calendar".
This little gem lets one magically know of a market crash before it happens!
It gets even better. This system (allegedly) was designed by one of the guys that coded nuclear missile flight patterns during the Cold War. It goes on to say…"so it is as close to 100% accurate as possible"
Where do I sign up? Well, you go to another page and learn that you can have all of this information for just $1,995 for a 5 year subscription. You might be thinking, well, what if the guy who writes this drops dead after year one? What will I do then? No worries, he assures his readers he is not going anywhere.
As a numbers guy, I took the liberty of multiplying the $2,000 times 500 folks that may take him up on his offer. $1,000,000 income. Not too shabby.
So, the take away here is, please reach out to me if there is anything you see that might cause you to make an irreversible mistake pertaining to your finances.
I'm always happy to walk through things in a logical way and discuss strategies based on your personal situation.
Any questions? Feel free to reach out to me.
All the best.
